Accreditation for Language Education Providers
Accredit your language education provision.
Certiqual inspects the legal entity and every site, language, learner group and delivery mode expressly included in the requested scope.
In plain terms
We assess whether the organisation can deliver consistently good language education.
This is not a document-only review. Self-assessment and records define the audit trail; reviewers then test them through lesson observation, stakeholder interviews, learner-work samples, operational records and outcome data.
Schools, academies, training providers and other organisations delivering language education.
A public register entry showing current status, validity and exactly what is covered.
Assessment framework
Twelve domains, tested as one operating system.
The public standard states the requirements and illustrative evidence for every domain. The inspection sample is then adapted to scope, risk and delivery model.
Legal identity, mission and governance
The provider identifies the accountable legal entity, trading names, ownership, governance roles and every site or digital operation within scope.
Management and administration
Responsibilities, operational controls, capacity planning and escalation routes are documented and understood by the people who use them.
Internal quality assurance
The provider operates a documented cycle for setting objectives, monitoring indicators, reviewing risks, investigating problems and verifying corrective action.
Communication with staff
Staff receive current information on roles, courses, learners, safeguarding, assessment, changes and quality expectations in time to act correctly.
Communication with learners and clients
Before enrolment, information on level, objectives, duration, mode, fees, assessment, certification, support and cancellation is complete and not misleading.
Course design and academic systems
Each course has an identifiable rationale, target group, entry level, intended outcomes, syllabus, learning time, teaching approach and review owner.
Teaching and learning
Teaching is planned from intended outcomes and learner needs, provides meaningful language use and is adapted using evidence of learning.
Learner assessment and certification
Assessment tasks sample the intended outcomes, use stated criteria and support dependable decisions appropriate to their consequences.
Academic resources
Learning materials, platforms and reference resources are suitable for the outcomes, learners, languages and delivery modes for which they are used.
Learner services, wellbeing and access
Admissions, orientation, support, complaints, safeguarding and emergency arrangements reflect learner age, vulnerability, location and delivery mode.
Staff competence, development and employment
Role profiles define the qualifications, language competence, teaching or assessment expertise and experience required before appointment.
Learning environment and digital delivery
Physical and online environments are safe, accessible, reliable and suitable for the group size, activities and learner needs.
How it works
Documents are the starting point. Practice is the test.
The assessment combines documentary evidence with direct inspection. Accreditation remains subject to monitoring and renewal after the initial decision.
- 01Eligibility and scope
We identify the legal entity, sites, languages, learner groups and delivery modes to be reviewed.
- 02Evidence review
The organisation submits policies, records and operational evidence against the published standard.
- 03Inspection
Reviewers test documented arrangements in practice through interviews, observation and sampled evidence.
- 04Decision and monitoring
A positive decision is published with its exact scope, validity and ongoing review requirements.
The result
An accreditation the public can check.
If the requirements are met, the organisation is entered in the Certiqual Public Register. The record identifies the accredited entity, included sites and activities, validity dates and current status.
