Use of Certiqual marks
A Certiqual mark communicates one defined status. Its use must never broaden the subject, scope, validity or meaning shown in the Public Register.

Authorised use
Use requires an active status, the approved artwork and wording, and a public record that identifies the user or award holder. The mark must appear with enough context for a reasonable reader to understand what is—and is not—covered.

Prohibited presentation
A mark must not be altered, combined with another emblem, used on an excluded site or product, presented as government approval, transferred to another legal entity or displayed after suspension, expiry or withdrawal.

Correction and enforcement
Misuse may require immediate correction, removal, publication of a clarification, enhanced monitoring, suspension, withdrawal or legal action. Corrective action does not erase the record of material misuse.
Mandatory controls
What the policy requires in operation
- The live register prevails over every logo, badge, certificate or screenshot.
- Membership badges are visually and semantically distinct from accreditation and Certi Marks.
- A Certi Mark – Examination and a Certi Mark – Examination Body have different scopes.
- Suspected misuse can be reported through the verification-concern route.
Public accountability
Status changes remain visible
Where this policy affects a public accreditation or Certi Mark, the live register reflects the current status, restrictions and material public history without disclosing protected evidence or personal data.
